Smoking Roadshow helper Opinder Kaur carries out a carbon monoxide test on colleague Ebrahim Al Yamani LC10953
SHOPPERS were invited to test the carbon monoxide level in their bodies during a roadshow encouraging smokers to kick the habit.
The NHS Stop Smoking Roadshow came to Lewisham Shopping Centre, where it was joined by Lewisham Primary Care Trust, to give advice about what kind of free support is available for smokers.
Dr Simon Tanner, regional director for public health in London said: "Research proves smokers are four times more likely to stop if they use an NHS Stop Smoking Service and nicotine
replacement therapy."
Around 40 people signed up at the event on April 10.
The roadshow kicked off on No Smoking Day on March 12, and has visited 11 boroughs across the capital.
