MP for Dartford visits mental health hospital

Trust chief exec Angela McNab with MP Michael Fallon and MP Gareth Johnson
MP FOR Dartford Gareth Johnson has visited a mental health hospital in Dartford to learn more about the care patients receive.
Mr Johnson was joined by Sevenoaks MP Michael Fallon as they attended Little Brook Hospital in Bow Arrow Lane.
The hospital, run by Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, provides care and treatment for people with mental health problems.
Both MPs spent time talking with patients before visiting Rosewood Lodge, a rehabilitation facility for those who need longer term support before returning home.
Mr Johnson said: “Working in mental health services is not easy.
“It’s a tough job, but I have been impressed by what I have seen and the people I have met.
“The people staff support are some of the most vulnerable in our society and when they are unwell it is good to know there are good quality local hospital services available as well as those supporting people in the community.”
