A CHARITY which helps children with chronic illnesses has extended its emotional support to families across the country by launching a telephone helpline.
On the line volunteers trained by the Green Street Green based Maypole Project will be able to support families through the highs and lows of life with their vulnerable children.
And the staff will also have access to an information database to help callers with practical issues including funding and education.
The helpline 01689 889889 will be open on Monday between noon and 3pm, Tuesday from 10am to 1pm, Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm and on Fridays from 9am to noon.
And there is a 24-hour answerphone and an email address helpline@themaypoleproject.co.uk
