LEWISHAM Hospital has reopened to visitors today(February 2), following an outbreak of the norovirus or winter vomiting disease.
But visiting hours will be restricted to between 3pm and 8pm, with a strict limit of only two visitors present at any patient's bedside.
A spokesman said: "These visiting times will remain in place until further notice.
"We ask that no-one visits at all who has any symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting or any cold or flu like illnesses."
He added:"Should there be a rise in patients suffering from diarrhoea and vomiting we will reconsider applying the visiting restrictions.
"Thank you to everyone who has cooperated with this restriction and enabled us to largely escape the impact on our patients and staff from this outbreak."
