YOUNGSTERS got a lesson in germ prevention when hospital staff visited their classrooms.
Year 4 pupils at St Christopher’s The Hall Primary School in Bromley Road, Beckenham, became ‘germ detectives’ with the help of infection control staff from The Sloane Hospital, also in Beckenham.
Infection control co-ordinator Laura Chatfield said: “Our team had a fantastic time teaching the students about hand washing and hygiene.
“It was great to see the students keen to answer questions about germs and competing for the honour of being the person with the cleanest hands.”
Pupils at the independent school took part in a number of hygiene training sessions on February 2, using a special hand gel that mimics germs and glows under UV light.
