SHAKERS 1, PETERBOROUGH 3: Disappointed Shakers boss Chris Casper felt this defeat by play-off chasing Peterborough at Gigg Lane was "an unrealistic scoreline".
"We controlled the game in the second half - I thought we should have taken something from the game," he said.
"The conditions were appalling, and the killer goal came right on half time - it came completely out of the blue.
"For their third goal, our goalkeeper was in the opposition's box (for a last-minute corner), and there was not much we could do about it."
Danny Crow scored for Posh on the stroke of half-time with his 14th goal of the season and Adam Newton doubled the lead with a low drive on the hour.
Bury were handed a lifeline when Mark Arber brought down Lewis Gobern and Tom Kennedy scored from the spot.
Crow grabbed his second of the game from close range in the dying minutes to seal the points.
