Olympic action to be shown on Blackheath big screen
LONDON'S Olympic action will be shown on a big screen on Blackheath this summer.
Part of Lewisham Council's live site for the Olympics, the opening ceremony will be shown on July 27 and the closing ceremony on August 12.
Alongside live BBC coverage of the Games on a giant outdoor screen will be a daily programme of entertainment, music and activities.
A tent will feature live music from members of the BBC Singers and Lewisham Live musicians, along with a day of spoken word and information on different sports.
August 4 has been named Super Saturday and will include sports and stalls from community groups, with talented Lewisham people performing in the tent.
