A MILLIONAIRE’S daughter who drove looters around during August's riots claims she was raped by two men weeks before.

Laura Johnson, aged 20, says she suffered a mental breakdown after breaking up with her boyfriend, which was made worse by the attack.

She told Inner London Crown Court she had tried to kill herself on six occasions and regularly self-harmed by cutting herself and punching through windows.

Johnson, of Sheepcote Lane, Orpington, added she had become close to a man called T Man with whom she confided details of her problems.

But she claims he then forced her to drive him and three other men around south-east London during the worst night of rioting on August 8.

The former Newstead Wood pupil denies three charges of burgling electrical items, alcohol and cigarettes and three alternative charges of handling stolen goods.

She was arrested with a 17-year-old male, who cannot be named because of his age, in the early hours of August 9 after being found with a stash of stolen goods in her car.

Johnson said she believed the men she was driving had links to gangs, and that they had robbed other looters at knife point.

She told the court they had used gang names and she had heard them refer to the Catford Wildcats.

Johnson says she did not tell police about one of the men having a knife because she was afraid.

She said: "I was reluctant to give a lot of details because I felt unsure.

“I didn't know what had been said to the two other males in custody.

"I didn't want to put any sort of further charge onto anybody.

“I didn't want it to be my fault from other people's perspectives."

She added: "It was almost a relief to be arrested because it brought the night to an end."

The trial continues.
