PEOPLE are being invited to fire up their frying pans and put their flipping skills to the test in a charity pancake race.
Fundraisers from Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice are inviting teams to navigate a route around Bexleyheath Broadway while flipping pancakes on February 21 at 11am.
The winners will be crowned The Fastest Flippers of Bexleyheath and receive a frying pan.
The losing team will receive a wooden spoon.
Greenwich and Bexley Community Hospice provides free specialist end-of-life care for people with life-limiting illnesses, as well as providing support for their families, friends and carers.
Community fundraiser, Kimberley Wheeler said: “It’s going to be brilliant.
"This is the first ever annual Bexleyheath Pancake Race and all funds raised will be for Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice."
The hospice is looking for 16 teams of four people to take part in the competition.
