Sainsbury’s is urgently recalling a bag of fruit and honey seed mix because it may contain nuts.

The supermarket has revealed there is a small number of packs that may contain almonds and cashew nuts, which have not be declared on the pack.

A spokeswoman from Sainsbury’s said: “As a precautionary measure, we're asking customers who have purchased these products, and have an allergy or intolerance to almonds and cashew nuts to return them to their nearest Sainsbury's store, where they will receive a full refund.”

The specific product is Sainsbury’s Fruit and Honey Seed Mix 35g with a best before date of September 2018.

Customers are advised to take great care if they are in any way allergic to nuts, and if you are worried you have eaten some accidentally you should visit your doctor/A&E immediately.
