The man convicted of squirting acid in a Hackney nightclub has admitted to hiding a mobile phone in prison.
Arthur Collins, 25, of HMP Belmarsh, pleaded guilty at Bromley Magistrates' Court yesterday (December 27) to having the phone.
He admitted the offence as he was on remand in HMP Thameside awaiting trial for the acid attack, which left 14 people injured.
Collins, the ex-boyfriend of reality TV star Ferne McCann, had his cell searched on September 10 where a phone was found in a crutch he was using because of an ankle injury.
Two sim cards, two chargers and two USBs were also found.
The sim cards contained calls and messages between Collins and his family.
He is serving 20 years in prison for five counts of wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm and nine counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Collins will be charged for hiding the mobile phone at a later date.
