More than 400 toys were donated by generous people across south London to help families of children with brain injury.

Gifts were left at Access Self Storage stores in Battersea, Wandsworth, Purley Way, Kingston, Cheam, Sutton, Charlton and Twickenham - whose teams joined forces to collect brand new toys for this great cause.

The campaign was supported by Newsquest South London which nominated the charity.

The donations were presented to the charity at the Purley Way store, with managers saying they received an unprecedented amount of support,

Brett Stone, manager at the Access Self Storage Purley Way, said: “It really is a testament to the local community to see them come together and donate so many wonderful gifts this Christmas.

“We have really enjoyed working with the other South London Access Self Storage stores to raise awareness of such a great charity this Christmas."

The gifts will be raffled off to raise funds for the children cared for by the Children’s Trust.

Hannah Vince of the Children’s Trust said: “These donations by families, individuals and businesses in our community will be raffled to raise funds for children and young people under our care, who have brain injuries and neuro-disabilities.

“The gifts will give them and their families a huge boost this Christmas.”
