Normally if someone is out taking a pet for a walk, it will be their dog, but the people of south-east London see the world differently.

Mike Williams captured this snap of a man strolling through the town centre with his pet snake draped around his shoulders.
The serpent was probably keen to see the area of Woolwich as it was taken for its walk, or slither as it would be in this case.
Commenter Mark Llewellyn Sellen noted that he had previously seen another man cycling in Sydenham with a pet snake, so the traditions of unusual pets going for a stroll continues.
