A contemporary family Christmas festival is coming to Greenwich this December and it is the perfect thing to get you in the festive mood.

The Old Royal Naval College will be hosting Greenwich Winter Time Festival between December 1 and 31.

The festival has been designed to compliment the stunning grounds of Sir Christopher Wren’s masterpiece, the world heritage listed Old Royal Naval College.

Embracing the heart-warming traditions of the season, this new winter festival is set to give visitors a truly unforgettable experience.

The Greenwich Winter Time Ice Rink sits under a clear canopy with sparkling lights. You can skate under the stars whilst listening to bespoke music composed by students from Trinity Laban Conservatoire.

Announced acts include Martine McCutcheon, The Puppini Sisters, The Magnets, and Sons Of Pitches (as featured in new Sky 1 show Ultimate Acapella).

Adding to the family fun, the East London Brass will be performing Howard Blake’s iconic music live to accompany Christmas classic film The Snowman, which will be projected on huge screens.

Neil O’Brien from the Greenwich Winter Time Festival team said: “Our aim is to provide a warm, fun, inclusive and safe environment for all ages, mixing old traditions with new.”

“The festival aims to push boundaries by creating an exceptional and affordable experience for all.”

Tickets cost from £15 for adults and £8 for children. Go to greenwichwintertime.com
