A new report shows where in South London the happiest, most satisfied and most anxious people live.

The Office for National Statistics data maps personal wellbeing in the UK between April 2016 and March 2017.

The report collected data on people’s happiness by borough. It also looked at their anxiety levels, their sense of life satisfaction and how worthwhile they felt.

People were asked to give a figure between zero and ten, saying how they felt in each of the four areas. An average was then calculated for each borough.

Here is a round up of people’s wellbeing across our patches in South London. How does your borough compare?

The happiest borough in our area was Epsom and Ewell with a score of 7.8 out of ten.

The joint unhappiest boroughs were Lewisham, Bromley and Greenwich. All three boroughs scored 7.3 out of ten for happiness.

Epsom and Ewell and Sevenoaks had the lowest anxiety levels. Both boroughs scored 2.7 out of ten.

The most anxious boroughs were Wandsworth and Greenwich with scores of 3.4 out of ten for anxiety.

For life satisfaction, Richmond, Kingston, Epsom and Ewell, Sutton, Croydon and Sevenoaks all bagged the top spot with 7.7 out of ten.

Lewisham was worst for life satisfaction with a score of 7.2 out of ten.

Epsom and Ewell scored 8.1 out of ten for feeling worthwhile.

But in Lewisham, the average score was 7.5 out of ten, which puts it at the bottom of our list.
