A female officer was injured as police arrested a teenager who was wielding a meat cleaver in Plumstead.
Police detained the 17-year-old in Swingate Lane around 4.15pm on July 31.
Greenwich gangs unit recovered the seven-inch blade along with a quantity of drugs at the scene.
A police officer suffered bruising but did not require hospital treatment.
The teenager has been released on bail to return to Plumstead police station on a date to be arranged.
