Crackdowns on illegal immigration have seen eight people, including a man from Woolwich, arrested and charged for false ID offences.
An Immigration Enforcement investigation into the manufacture and supply of fraudulent ID documents saw the people across the UK being arrested.
These included Luke Nkanta, 29, of Wordsworth House in Woolwich, who was charged with possessing ID documents with intent.
Officers from Immigration Enforcement executed multiple raids across the country, with Nkanta being arrested on June 20.
Nkanta, alongside two people from Southwark, appeared before Bromley Magistrates' Court on June 22.
They were remanded in custody to appear at Woolwich Crown Court on July 20.
Assistant Director Dave Magrath is from the North West CFI team which is leading the investigation.
He said: “As these operations show, we will rigorously investigate allegations relating to the abuse of the UK’s immigration laws.”
