These are the designs unveiled by the council for the new Plumstead Library and Leisure Centre.

Redeveloping the Grade II listed library, the designs are part of the Plumstead Urban Framework to regenerate the town of Plumstead.

The plans include significantly upgrading the leisure facilities and services for the community.

Councillor Danny Thorpe, deputy leader of Greenwich Council, said: “The Council has made a clear commitment to invest in Plumstead and we have plans to transform and reconnect this important town centre, with a series of integrated projects for the area.

“We are investing money and working with other agencies and partners to ensure that we deliver a revitalised Plumstead, with this new library and leisure centre at its heart.

“We have consulted with residents on the designs and I am confident that these proposals will utilise the high street's full potential and create a wonderful new civic attraction.”

The plans are available to view on the council’s website until tomorrow, July 6, at www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/haveyoursay.

There will be a final opportunity for people to comment on the final designs when they are submitted for formal planning application later this month.
