A teenage boy was repeatedly stabbed near a church after attending a birthday party, police believe.

Greenwich gangs unit is investigating after the 16-year-old was found with multiple stab wounds outside St Nicholas Hall in Plumstead on April 1.

Met Police officers and paramedics from London Ambulance Service were called to St Nicholas Road at about 10.55pm.

The teenager was taken to a central London hospital and has since been discharged.

The victim had been at a birthday party nearby, police believe, and officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the stabbing.

The Met has also appealed for anyone who has mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with GBH in connection with the attack.
