A Greenwich man who told 999 there was a bomb at a Catford Tesco has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Kevin David, 52, of Lewisham Road in Greenwich, called 999 on January 15 from a retail park near the Tesco to inform police of the bomb.
When there was found to be no bomb at the premises, David was arrested and charged with providing emergency services with false information.
It was the same Tesco that David pleaded guilty to stealing electrical items worth over £100 from on December 20.
David was sentenced at Bexley Magistrates Court on March 20 where he was given a four month prison sentence, suspended for two years.
