Planning permission for four high-rise flats for the Greenwich Peninsula has been granted by Greenwich Council.

The tallest of the four residential towers will be almost 100 metres high with 28 storeys.

The others will be 17 storeys, 12 storeys and 5 storeys, for a total of 400 residential units between them.

The tower blocks, designed by Alison Brooks Architects, are part of the large development scheme for the entire peninsula by developers Knight Dragon.

This includes a £1 billion landmark three-pronged building being built next to the 02 Arena, unveiled on February 15.

The entire development will consist of seven new neighbourhoods, with these new tower blocks being situated along the eastern side of the Peninsula.

The planning permission was granted by Greenwich council planning board on March 7.

Alison Brooks said: “We’re delighted to be working with Knight Dragon and that our designs received unanimous consent from the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

“Our intention was to create a robust, adaptable urban block with generous proportions that reinforces the Peninsula’s cosmopolitan identity."
