Firefighters from across South-East London battled a blaze in Greenwich basement yesterday afternoon that killed two cats.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters tackled the fire in a basement on Ashburnham Place in Greenwich.
The fire damaged most of the basement in the house however no one was injured.
Firefighters were called at 15.01pm and the fire was under control by 16.03pm. Crews from Greenwich, Deptford, Lee Green and Old Kent Road fire stations all attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
