A road in Greenwich was closed briefly whilst police investigated another "suspect package" in the borough.
Royal Hill was closed from 3pm due to the incident near Gloucester Circus, a Met Police spokesman confirmed.
Officers have now been stood down, after the suspect package proved to be a false alarm.
It was reopened around 15 minutes ago, but knock-on delays and congestion is expected on nearby roads.
