A young woman has immortalised the town of Plumstead with a very special tattoo.
Photos appeared on social media of a tattoo of the number 122 double-decker bus, which goes from Plumstead station to Crystal Palace.
The word ‘Plumstead’ is written on the side of the route master, complete with blue flowers.
Tattoo artist Ben Greenwood is the man behind the inking, which took around two hours to complete.
Mr Greenwood, 23, owns studio Green 13, in Milton Keynes, where a young woman recently came in for the tattoo.
MORE TOP STORIES He told News Shopper: “Her granddad to use to work on the buses.
"She got it in his memory, he worked on that bus.
“She knew what she wanted; she gave me a rough idea.
"She told me more detail when she came in like the number of the bus.”
The artwork, on her right arm, cost around £120.
He said: “It’s the first time I’ve ever done a bus, it’s an original design.
“She was happy with it, really happy. It’s about four inches wide.
“I’m really pleased with it; it’s the kind of style I like.”
