The sudden death of a "wonderful" teenager has prompted a fundraising drive at his former Sidcup school.
Alistair Calvert, 18, died in hospital in the early hours of Sunday, July 26, after he collapsed in Wolvercote Road, Thamesmead, and suffered a cardiac arrest.
Former and current pupils of Cleeve Park School, which Alistair attended until taking his GCSEs, were "profoundly affected" by his death.
In his memory, they raised £181 on Friday, September 25 - for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) charity and the #ALLYSBIGHEART campaign.
Former students James Shaw, Alfie Staples and Hannah Cutting
Cleeve Park head teacher Jenni Tyler-Maher said: "We are very proud of our students in their passion and drive to positively remember their friend Ally and to raise awareness of cardiac risks in young people.
"We have heart-warmingly fond memories of Ally at school and this is able to continue through the events our students have organised in his memory."
A school spokeswoman added: "Alistair really was a wonderful student whilst here and his passing has affected all of us."
Over £4,500 has been raised so far. Click here to donate.
