A man from Greenwich has been charged with murder after a man was gunned down in broad daylight.

Christopher Erunse, 27, from the Royal Borough, has been charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

Moses Fadario, 25, was fatally shot in the chest along a busy high street in Hackney on Saturday (September 26).

Officers, specialist firearms officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene at 1.14pm after being called to reports of shots fired.

A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

Erunse was arrested in Birmingham on Tuesday (September 29) morning.

He will appear later today (October 1) at Barkingside Magistrates' Court.

A 23-year-old man, arrested the day after the shooting has been bailed until December.

Another man, 25, was arrested the day of the attack on suspicion of murder and was released with no further action being taken on that particular charge.

He was re-arrested on suspicion of an offensive weapon and has been bailed.
