Abbey Wood residents, and those who travel via the station, are being asked to share opinions on the Crossrail regeneration.

The station is being rebuilt ahead of Crossrail's arrival in 2018 - with developers also making changes in the surrounding streets.

This includes £300,000 of improvements to Wilton Road, a joint regeneration project between Bexley and Greenwich councils - half funded by the Mayor of London's High Street Fund and half through funding from the two boroughs.

Royal Borough of Greenwich Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport Coun Danny Thorpe said: "These are really exciting times for Abbey Wood – it is wonderful to see the changes promised because of Crossrail really starting to come to fruition.

London Borough of Bexley’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Growth Coun Linda Bailey added: “We have secured funding to help businesses on Wilton Road in the short term but we are also keen to form a longer-term vision for the area.

"We want anybody who has an interest in the high street to help us shape that vision.”
