The owner of a Thamesmead 'party house' has responded to claims late-night bashes are a regular occurance in his holiday let.

Alex Oseji, who rents out the house on Aisher Road, is shocked that complaints been made to Greenwich Council about his £120-a-night business.

Last week, News Shopper spoke to Scott Cowan, 40, who expressed concerns about the property - which has only three bedrooms, but is advertised as sleeping 12.

He said the property has played host to drunken parties where people have taken the legal high "laughing gas" - most recently on Saturday, July 25.

News Shopper:

Mr Cowan said: "Word's got round that it's a cheap place to have a party."

However, landlord Alex Oseji disputed his claims.

He told News Shopper: "Holiday lets - is that he same thing as renting a property for parties?

"Someone is trying to victimise me.

"This is completely terrible.

"These are family apartments - strictly no parties allowed."

Mr Oseji admits there was a 21st birthday party at the property on July 25 - but said this had been held against his wishes.

He added: "It's just one party.

"I said no parties allowed - what else can I do?

An email from Mr Oseji to the party hosting guest

"Don't you have parties in your house from time to time? Is it a crime?"

Mr Cowan expressed concerns that the home is fully booked throughout August, as his mother lives on Aisher Road.

However, Mr Oseji maintains he is running a "legitimate business".
