Police were called to reports of a hit and run in Shooters Hill last night (April 9) which left a seven-year-old girl in hospital.
Officers were sent to Shrewsbury Lane, at with the junction of Occupation Lane, to reports of a "fail to stop collision" involving a car and a child at 7.30pm.
The child - believed to be seven-year-old girl - suffered undisclosed injuries.
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: "We sent an ambulance crew, paramedic in a car and a duty station officer to the scene.
"We treated a girl for leg injuries and she was taken, by the ambulance crew, as a priority to King's College hospital."
The girl is believed to be in a stable condition. There have been no arrests so far.
