An inquest has opened into the death of James Gosnell, from Plumstead, who was killed in a crash on the M20 near Wrotham

The incident, on March 31, happened shortly before 11.30am on the coastbound carriageway between junction 2 for Wrotham and junction 4 for Leybourne.

It involved one car - a black Jaguar X-Type.

The car collided with a road barrier close to the slip road for junction 4.

Mr Gosnell, who was driving, died at the scene.

An inquest into his death opened last Thursday (April 2) at the Archbishop’s Palace in Maidstone.

The cause of death was given as multiple injuries.

A provisional date for a full inquest has been set for June 9.

It is not believed any other vehicles were involved but Kent Police would like to speak with anybody who may have seen what happened.
