DEPTFORD people concerned over the horse meat scandal can find out what really goes into their food in the next few weeks.
The DNA FoodLab, a project led by Manchester-based organisation MadLab, is coming to Deptford Market.
To be held from 9am to 2pm on March 15, the free drop-in event forms part of the wider LabEasy project, run by charity Arts Catalyst.
There will be a chance for stallholders, market-goers and anyone curious about the origins of the food they buy to learn what DNA can reveal about the contents of our shopping baskets, and to try out tests for themselves.
No experience or knowledge of biology is necessary.
