THE funeral of a 35-year-old man found dead in the garden of a Sidcup church is being held in Eltham tomorrow (January 9).

Lee Brooks, of Rowley Avenue in Sidcup, was discovered dead in the garden of Holy Trinity Church, in Hurst Road, at 8:30am on December 10.

His funeral will be held at Eltham Crematorium, in Crown Woods Way, tomorrow morning at 10:15am.

According to a Facebook tribute page, his family prefer donations be made to the Lee Brooks Memorial Fund as opposed to flowers brought to the funeral.

The fund will be put towards a headstone at Albany Park cemetery and a memorial plaque at Millwall FC.

A wake will be held for family and close friends at The Montrose Park Club in Hurst Road, Sidcup, afterwards.

An inquest into his death was opened and adjourned on December 12 by the South London Coroner and a date is yet to be set for the next hearing.

A South London Coroner spokesman said: “He was found in the garden of Holy Trinity Church in Sidcup.

“We are awaiting toxicology reports back.”
