FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man from a flat fire in Blisset Street, Greenwich, yesterday (Jan 6).
He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, suffering from smoke inhalation and burns.
A small part of the ground floor flat was damaged in the blaze.
Ten firefighters wearing breathing apparatus from Lewisham and Greenwich fire stations attended the scene with two fire engines.
They called at 10.37am and the fire was under control by 11.46am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
