Trust Thamesmead hosts Winter Festival with Father Christmas

THAMESMEAD people are invited along to a Winter Festival including a visit from Father Christmas himself next month.

Trust Thamesmead and Greenwich Community Food Coop will be organising the afternoon of festive fun on December 1.

People will be able to find out about the benefits of eating their five portions of fruit and veg a day, they will be treated to Santa’s grotto, children’s entertainment, music and refreshment.

Community groups and service providers will also be on-hand to give information and advice about a wide range of topics.

Children who attend in fancy dress will be in with the chance of winning a prize.

It all takes place at the Arnott Community Centre, Arnott Close, off Titmuss Avenue from 11.30am to 3.30pm.

I hope that Santa has been CRB checked. We don't want a Savile Claus on our hands.

Is that DLT in the picture? If so, he will soon be giving a recitation of Jiggle Bells and asking the mums what THEY would like for Christmas.
