Nick Clegg secretly filmed a version of Carly Rae Jepsen’s popular music video I Really Like You, playing the role of Tom Hanks, according to reports.

The bizarre film was made in Gravesend in the run-up to the general elections last March – but it has never been aired.

Hanks is seen in the original video high-fiving people, before dancing with Jepson into the night in Manhattan.

And the former Lib Dem leader took on the same role in the streets of Gravesend, allegedly hoping that it would boost his popularity.
