A man had to be cut free from his vehicle yesterday after a two-car crash in Meopham.
Fire crews were sent to the collision in Gravesend Road just after 2.30pm.
Firefighters used cutting gear to free a man in his 40s who was trapped in the wreckage of one of the vehicles.
He was assessed by an air ambulance doctor before being taken to hospital by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb).
The A227 was closed between Gravesend and Meopham whilst emergency sercices worked at the scene and cleared debris from the road.
