A classic car has been destroyed in a suspected arson in Northfleet – in which a garage caught fire.
The valuable motor was being housed in a wooden shed in Dene Holm Road, which set alight in the very early hours of this morning (May 20) - just after midnight.
A spokesman from Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) has now said the cause of the fire is “believed to be suspicious”.
Two engines were sent to the scene at 12.35am, and crews wearing breathing apparatus battled the blaze using compressed air foam, a main jet and a hose reel.

The flames completely destroyed the shed housing the car, as well as damaging an adjacent shed.
Firefighters from KFRS also used a thermal imaging camera to identify fire hot spots, and were on the scene until 1.20am.
