Firefighters battled a conveyor belt blaze for 40 minutes this morning (November 23) - at a depot in Greenhithe.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the fire in Crossways Boulevard at 11.18am, and found the machinery was "well alight".

The fire was thought to be caused by friction, from the belt rubbing against the wheels within the machinery.
