A Gravesend 'eyesore' is set to be flushed away, Gravesham Council have revealed.
The demolition of the old public toilets in Parrock Street will start on September 7 and take about three weeks to complete.
The above ground structure will be removed and the underground cavity will be filled in and paved.
During the works the public footpath will be closed at the Milton Road and Parrock Street junction but it is believed there will be little there disruption to traffic.

Local traders have been informed and footpath diversions will be via the existing pedestrian crossings.
The toilets, which date back to the early 20th century, were closed decades ago due to poor access and the rising cost of maintenance.

They were sold in 2008 but were later bought back by the council after no successful planning application came forward.
A council spokesman said: "Demolition of the facility will remove an eyesore from this main access route into the town, improve the appearance of the Conservation area and adjacent Listed Building, as well as providing a drop-off facility for weddings and funerals."
