A man in his 20s became trapped in the early hours of this morning after partially impaling his leg on a fence in Gravesend.
It took around an hour to free the man before he could be treated by paramedics.
Firefighters from Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) were called to the trapped man in Saddington Street at 5.30am.
They stabilised him before freeing his lower leg which was stuck in the fence.
Crews then worked with South East Coast Ambulance paramedics to assess the damage to the man's leg which was partially impaled on the railing.
A spokesman for KFRS said firefighters used cutting equipment to free his upper leg before passing him into the care of the paramedics.
