Soap fans have complained to TV watchdog, Ofcom, over a gay sex scene on EastEnders starring Gravesend actor, Harry Reid.

Ofcom have confirmed that 48 people lodged official complaints with them since the episode aired on BBC One on Friday (July 21).

A spokesman said: "We will assess these complaints before deciding whether to investigate or not."

The scene involved characters Ben Mitchell, played by former Northfleet Technology College student, Mr Reid, and Paul Coker, who stripped off in a funeral parlour, in front of an open coffin.
