A Gravesend coach company formerly responsible for taking hundreds of pupils to and from school will appear in court later this year.
Manns Travel, who had a fleet of 20 coaches, car and minibuses, was investigated by police in March this year, over claims vehicles were travelling without insurance.
The company has been charged with three counts of driving without insurance, and entered a not guilty plea via post.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "A Gravesend travel company has been reported to court for three counts of driving without insurance.
"A not guilty plea was entered and it has been adjourned until 29 October at Medway Magistrates’ Court."
One of its coaches was taking Gravesend schoolchildren on a trip to Rochester, when it was boarded by officers on March 7.
Youngsters were left stranded in a Medway coach park when the vehicle was taken off the road.
Abandoned youngsters were picked up by a replacement coach shortly afterwards.
One mother, who wished to remain anonymous, told News Shopper her 12-year-old daughter was left stranded.
She said: "A lot of children were visibly upset.
"They ran to their parents like they had been in a disaster."
Prior to the police investigation, Manns Travel were servicing several schools in Gravesham.
Kent County Council (KCC) stopped using the company following the allegations.
