A 78-year-old pensioner who suffers with dementia was found last night (June 24) after he went missing from Abbeyfield care home in Dene Holm Road.
The 6ft tall man, named locally as Terrence, left the care home at around 3pm.
Kent Police launched a search party of officers, including a police helicopter which was seen flying around the Northfleet area.
On social media concerned residents shared information and took to the streets in a bid to locate the elderly gentleman.

A Kent Police spokeswoman said: "It was a 78-year-old man, from Northfleet, who has since been found safe and well."
