Around 25 caravans parked up near Cyclopark, Gravesend are expected to move away over the weekend.
The unauthorised encampment arrived on the site - an area east of Cyclopark - on May 23.
The travellers refused to leave despite being issued with a "direction to leave" order by Kent County Council (KCC) last Thursday.
Yesterday (June 2), Medway magistrates granted a KCC application and, in the afternoon, notice was served on the travellers.
A council spokesman said: "They have been given 24 hours to leave, and we expect them to move away over the weekend."
Rubbish left by the travellers
The authority is working closely with Kent Police to monitor the situation and public concerns.
The public are advised to call the KCC contact centre on 03000 414141 to report any incidents.
There is further information on the KCC website.
