Gravesham Council were flying the flag with pride on Commonwealth Day, for the second year running.
Students from six schools attended the celebrations in Community Square, with a nominee from each school raising a Commonwealth flag.
The event started at 9.55am on March 9, with a reading of the Commonwealth Affirmation by Mayor of Gravesham John Caller.

Roughly 200 people watched the event and many of stayed on for speeches in the council chamber afterwards, where pupils were presented with certificates for taking part.
Commonwealth Day is a national celebration, sponsored by the Queen.

Council leader John Burden said: "The importance is for us to recognise the Commonwealth and the historical connection to both Gravesham and the country.
"We have a very long connection with people coming both to and from the Commonwealth."
