Police investigating an alleged incident in Gravesend - in which a man sexually assaulted and punched a woman - have released an e-fit image of a man they believe could help them.

It is reported that at around 7.20pm on Monday February 16, a woman was walking in Norfolk Road when a man snatched her handbag.

She pursued him into St John's Road, where he gave her the bag back before sexually assaulting her and punching her in the face.

He then ran away.

He is described as a white man, between 20 to 30 years old, of slim build and wearing a dark blue hooded jacket.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Hollie Brown, said: "We are investigating a violent assault on a woman and I would ask anybody with information to come forward to us as soon as possible.

"If you recognise the man in the e-fit or remember seeing someone of his description on the night in question, I'd ask you to call me on 01634 792418.

"Alternatively, if you would prefer to remain anonymous, call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
