Police were called after a women threatened to jump into the River Thames in Greenhithe yesterday (January 25).

A lifeboat is also reported to have been sent to the incident, after emergency services were alerted shortly after 8pm.

A police spokeswoman said: "Kent Police was called at 8.15pm on January 25 to a report of concern for the welfare of a woman in Greenhithe.

"The woman was located safe and well at around 9.40pm."
