Warnings of snow and ice have been issued for south east London and north Kent, while winds of up to 70mph may hit the region.
The Met Office has warned showers of hail, sleet and snow could disrupt travel over the next few days.
Forecasters added road temperatures are likely to fall below freezing and icy surfaces will be likely to develop.
Meanwhile heavy rain is expected to last from this afternoon (January 14) until tomorrow morning, and strong winds will hit during this evening and into tomorrow morning.
High bridges including the Dartford Crossing could be shut with winds of 70mph expected at the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.
Highways Agency officials have told lorry drivers and motorcyclists to take extra care.
