Top 5 most expensive things we’ll spend money on at Christmas:

- Socialising: £101.83
- Christmas dinner & drinks: £94.32
- Entertaining: £72.76
- Christmas tree & decorations: £44.03
Brits will spend an average £831.95 over the festive period, equating to 54 per cent of the UK’s average monthly net salary.
Londoners will spend £894.23 this festive season on presents, entertaining, socialising, decorations and food and drink.
65 per cent of Londoners say they feel guilty about spending so much over the Christmas period.
