Central Park fireworks in Dartford on Saturday, November 1
Local Lions groups organise the spectacular for another year. There will be a fun fair from 5pm, bonfire at 7.15pm and fireworks at 8pm. Entry costs £5 adults and £3 children.

Forties Flashback at the Orchard Theatre, Dartford, from noon to 2pm on Saturday, November 8
War-themed show Lotty’s War is at the theatre from Tuesday (November 4) until Saturday, starring Larkrise to Candleford’s Olivia Hallinan and Wire in the Blood’s Mark Letheren. To tie in with it, the Orchard is having a forties-themed event with entertainment, exhibitions, games and snacks. The event is free. Skye launches its Friday nights with a Halloween party. There’s a prize of £100 cash and a bottle of Bollinger or Belvedere vodka for the best fancy dress, though dressing up is not mandatory.
